- Sara is a good friend of Alora and had chose to give birth at home instead of taking that trip to the hospital. Alora wanted the same comfortable experience and decided to go with an at-home birth. Alora will be giving birth very soon.
- Why is at home birth a great idea? It's a more comfortable environment, during pregnancy you will have the chance to meet your entire birth team, including a second midwife who will assist you at birth. You can invite anyone you'd like to your labor and birth. There will be genuine support. During a planned home birth, you might need to be transported to a hospital for monitoring or treatment if complications development .
- Benefits of planned home birth lower rates maternal morbidity, such as postpartum hemorrhage, and perineal lacerations, and lower rates of interventions such as episiotomy, and cesarean birth. Being comfortable and happy is the most important part of birth and and having a healthy baby.
