  • The Proclaimation Line of 1763
  • No! Our family moved to America in hopes of new oppertunities, we do NOT want to be limited to this land!
  • Here he Here he! I now announce that ant land west of the applaicion are off limits to everyone and are reserved for the Native Americans.

  • Stamp Act
  • It is a stamp you pay for that is required on every bought paper. If you do not have this stamp, the paper is illegal.
  • It is the new tax on paper called the stamp act.

  • vThe first major event that led to the resolution was the Proclamation Line of 1763. It was when the king restricted colonization/settlement west of the application mountains to give native americans some land. Many colonists did not really like this rule, however, no serious action was taken to stop the act when it happened.

  • I now declare the parliament can make any law/tax even if the colonies don't have representation!
  • The next act was the sugar act. It started on April 5th, 1764 and was where the British parliament placed a tax on sugar and molasses . It led to smuggling of these resources and sometimes boycotting them.

  • Another act on the road to revolution was the Samp Act. Thia act wasd passed on March 22, 1765. It was where the parliment laced a tax on all peper leading to massivde disagreemdents and smuggling.

  • The daughters of liberty were formed in 1765. They threw sewing parties to boycott the taxed British goods. Sometimes, they would go out and protest, they would sometimes use tarring and feathering in acts of violence.
  • We must figure out a way to stop Great Britain from putting taxes on items without our consent!
  • The Declaratory acts were when the British parliament wrote a document saying they could tax anything they want with or without representation from the colonists. It was placed in action on March 18, 1766.

  • One of the major turning pointv ion the road to revolution was the Boston Massacre(March 5th, 1770). This was when a fight broke out between colonists and redcoats and led to 4-5 deaths. It was caused by colonists taunting the red coats by throwing snowballs and yelling at them to fre.
