The Future of Our Cars

- All my work is done for today, so it's now time to go home YAY!
- Today was such a long day. I'm tired and cannot wait to lay in bed! In cases like this, thank God for a self-driving car.
- Oh my! I really need to take this car to the shop. Lately, it has come a little too close to causing accidents.
- If I wasn't paying attention, the car would have went down in this pothole!
- After a long day of work, Sally was excited when it was finally time to go home. As an underwriter for a bank based in New York City, Sally works long hours and has to finish a certain number of loans before she can leave. She was definitely ready to call it a day.
- Hi I brought my car in today because I've noticed that my sensors have been failing and not detecting objects in the way. My back camera also goes out sometimes to where I cannot see anything.
- Ok! Let me see if I am able to solve the problem. This is an autonomous car, so I cannot guarantee that I will be able to fix the issue.
- Sally rides home in her new driverless car.
- I was able to take a look at your car, but unfortunately I am not sure how to fix the sensors. I can see what's wrong with your camera and possibly give that a try though.
- It's ok. I want to find a shop that can fix both within the same time frame. Thank you though!
- As Sally is riding home, her car almost runs into a pothole on the street. The problem is, her car is autonomous so it should be able to get Sally home without her interference; however, it fails to do that.
- If self-driving cars are going to be the next new thing, mechanics all over will need to know how to work with them! Hopefully the next one I go to can fix my car.
- After a number malfunctions, Sally decides to take her car to the shop to get it checked out and hopefully fixed.
- Because Sally is one of the first people to own an autonomous car, not many mechanics in the area know how to work with the features. The mechanic does not want to make the problem worse, so instead he tells Sally the truth about his knowledge. Internally, he is thinking about how he can gain knowledge on these parts, as he may be at risk of losing his job in the future.
- Sally has no other choice but to get her car looked at by a mechanic that can work with these new cars. If mechanics don't want to go out of business, they will have to increase their knowledge about these vehicles.
