She has also started an organization that donates large amounts of money to public libraries. Relation to Topic: Gives a personal account of why public libraries are important to communities and explains why they should be supported by all, reinforces my arguments in relation to my topic

  • Purpose: To discuss the relevance and value that public libraries have today, even in an age of incredible technology Main Argument: Public libraries are extremely important to the community and play an extremely important role, even though most times can be found online todayApproach: The article provides research to support the fact that libraries still hold value in a digital age, and separates the importance of libraries into different categories Credibility: Article was published by Aabø, a renowned author, in the Journal of Librarianship and Information Science. Aabø is a professor at the Library and Information Science program at Oslo University as well. Relation to Topic: Libraries are often said to be "dying", and this article provides important research that they are as important as ever, even now where the internet is widely used for most things

Main Argument: Public libraries play a critical role in bettering the community as they provide many services and resources that might otherwise be inaccessible Approach: The article separates the benefits of public libraries into several different categories which makes the blog both interesting and easy to follow Credibility: Article is a publication of The Public Library Association and provides many different sources as evidence to back their statements. They also integrate personal stories that represent large groups of people. Relation to Topic: Gives a very thorough list to why public libraries play such an important role in societies and the specifics behind what they provide, and why it is necessary
