  • let's go and seize the Gunpowder factory!
  • But Spanish forces with Filipino armies known this and they clashed again. Spaniards weapons were powerful that led to katipuneros retreat
  • In November 30,1896, Roman Blanco declared a state of war under the Martial Law to the eight provinces in Luzon, where rebellion continues.

  • Yes sir! We will help you capture all the rebels.
  • I will declare martial law to stop the rebellion of these Filipinos
  • Many Filipinos died and captured. They're either imprisoned or exiled. They even thought Jose Rizal was a part of this that caused them to shot him in Bagumbayan.
  • This led the katipuneros to hold meetings in Imus Cavite but unfortunately, it didn't do any good. Some of them wanted a new government and leadership which were opposed by the others. So Katipunan was divided into 2 groups. The Magdalo led by Emilio Aguinaldo and Magdiwang by Andres Bonifacio
  • The Imus convention failed since both groups disagree with each other. They held another meeting called Tejeros convention but the intention of Magdalo group was to insist a new government and they made Aguinaldo the president and Bonifacio was in the lowest rank. At first he was mad but he accepted it.
  • WE need to change the leadership and have new government. Katipunan failed many times.
  • No need to change it. I did everythingin my power for our freedom that causedmy men died for this.
  • You weren't able to finish even highschool hence no position should be given to you
  • But Binifacio had enough and furious when Daniel Tirona said that he wasn't suited for any position since he didn't obtain any lawyer's diploma.
  • Bonifacio insisted that the election was null and void and refused to acknowledge it. This sadly led to his death, togetherwith his brothers. His wife was even raped.
  • This is unfair! We still did everything for our country! I won't accept this new government!
  • Aguinaldo's advisors thought that Bonifacio would be the hindrance to their new government's progress and needed to be removed by death.
  • Nooo! Why did you kill my husband!
  • On November 9- 11 1896, the battle was at the shores of Binakayan, in the town of Cavite Viejo. It lasted for two days until the Spanish army retreated. This led to the first victory of the Filipinos in Philippine history.
  • We won the battle! Hurray, Hurrayy!!!
  • After Bonifacio died, Aguinaldo led the Philippinerevolution and established a republic of Biak-na-Bato. This was an agreement between them and Spaniards, it stated that there would be freedom of religion and the press, and right to education.
  • Please let us end this war and live peacefully.
  • Republic isform of government where the power is held by the people and their elected representative or president.
  • I totally agree with you. We'll pay 800.000 to the Filipinos.
  • But this agreement didn't take long since Filipinos and Spaniards didn't trust each other. Their fight continues while Aguinaldo was in Hongkong. It resulted Spaniards to not pay the remaining money that they should pay.
  • This led to a failure agreement of Biak-na-Bato
