- Daniel responded and the King was very relieved
- Even though the king did not want it to happen, they threw Daniel in the lions den
- “May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!
- Daniel then waited fearfully inside the den filled with lions...
- The King was happy that Daniel was safe and ordered for Daniel to be let out of the den
- The king then came the next day to check on Daniel out of worry
- "Daniel, has your God who you serve and pray to rescue you from the lions?"
- O king, live forever!  My God sent an angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions.  They have not hurt me because I have done nothing wrong.
