  • When choosing a physical activity, you have to find one that's right for you! At least 60 minutes of physical activity a day will keep you nice and healthy. You need to find physical activities that keep YOU healthy and that YOU think are fun.
  • How do you find what activity is right for you? Well, there are a few questions you can ask yourself. You could ask yourself what activities you enjoy doing, or what kind of skills in sports you have. Also, you could ask yourself what you want to improve on or what helps you manage your stress. I found these ideas from module 4, lesson 1.
  • Health conditions, personality and attitude, reason for participation, environmental considerations, and other considerations all play a big role in what activity you should choose. If you have a health condition, you may not be able to do some activities. If you prefer a team, or a competitive environment, or outdoors also effects what activity you might want to participate in.
  • What you are doing the sport for, such as you want to do something for fun, or to manage stress, will determine what sport you should pick, too. Things in the environment can also affect your choice such as temperature and humidity. Safety is also plays a factor too. Cost, access to equipment, and stuff like that also plays a factor. I found all of this from module 4 lesson 2.
  • Weather also plays a HUGE factor in picking an activity. Heat can be a big problem because there are a lot of bad things that can happen to you such as heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and heat cramps. Cold weather can also play a role because it can cause hypothermia and frostbite. Make sure you dress for the weather!
  • There are two ways your body burns calories. Things that your body does such as making your heart beat and digesting your food can burn calories. Physical activity such as running or dancing also burns calories. To lose weight, you have to consume less calories than you burn. Make sure you don't cut your calories too low though! All of my information was found from module 4.
