- In this scene from The Outsiders Johnny kills a soc who was at the time drowning Ponyboy. Johnny experiences a Character vs. Society conflict because it's two groups against each other the socs and the greasers. In the novel on page 56 Johnny say, "'I killed him,' he said slowly. 'I killed that boy.'" Pony boy then gets sick and they decide they need to get out of there so they go to Dally for help because they know dally would know what to do. Dally gives them some supplies and tells them to hop on a freight train and get off at Windrixville. Then tells them to go to an abandoned church.
- In this scene Dally is giving them supplies and a gun. Then he tells them to to hop on a frieght and go to an abandoned church.
- In this scene they have arrived at the abandoned church and they are kind of skeptical about it but they know they have to stay there.
