  • the rise of the roman republic plebeians perspective
  • 509 B.C.E a group of greedy patricians leaded by Junius Brutus, rebelled against the lasted Etruscan king and drove him out of the throne instead of a monarchy they devolved a republic then they took the power for them selves leaving us with nothing.
  • the table of twelve rules
  • 494 B.C.E Rome was a city of twenty to forty thousand people most of the population were us plebeians we were so angry over the lack of power and how the patricians could do what they wanted so we started to march out of the city and cramp onto a hill till the patricians met our demands.
  • the table of twelve rules
  • 451 B.C.E over time we started to protest to gradually win equal political equality first law we demanded was the the laws we made were to be inscribed in to the walls so the patricians could change them now those jerks could not change the laws we made then the patricians finally after many long days agreed to publish our on tables called the table of twelve.
  • 367 B.C.E after awhile of many arguments we finally got the law that stated one to two of us can be a consuls and this law allowed us to become a senator this means now the patricians can't pass on laws so easily and take away the equality we work so hard to get form the patricians.
  • 287 B.C.E we finally did it the plebeians could now pass laws as citizens now that we earned equality we could approve or reject laws and in assemblies we could nominate the consuls now use the plebeians could sever alongside the patricians in the senate after a grueling 200 years of struggle we had finally won the fight of equality.
