- ...and that cure is TPACK! It stands for Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge and provides for teachers to understand how their knowledge intersects and effectively engage students with technology!
- There are 3 main components of TPACK: Content, Pedagogy, and Technology. Let's dive in to what these mean and how they connect...
- Technological Knowledge (TK) is all about understanding a variety of technology well enough to give students the tools to use it effectively
- Content Knowledge (CK) refers to a teacher's knowledge of the subject they're teaching (science, math, history, etc.)
- Pedagogical Knowledge (PK) is about a teacher's knowledge of the processes they are teaching and their own values and goals
- So, do you have any questions?
- When teachers are proficient in all these areas, they can make connections and draw from them to be the best teacher they can be!
