- This is Lucy. Her species had curved fingers to hold things, walked upright, and had larger brain sizes than their ancestors. They also had canine teeth to eat tough foods. They also eat some small reptiles like lizards.
- Neaderthals/Cave Man
- The Homo Habilis lived 2.5 to 1.5 million years ago. They had long arms and were the first species to use tools which gave them their name. They also had a stronger jaw which could allow them to eat meat.
- Homo Sapien
- The Homo Erectus had longer legs so that they could run further distances. They also had shorter arms and the ability to control fire. This species lived about 1.8m-110,000 years ago. It is also believed that this species was the first to expand out of Africa.
- The Neanderthals are believed to be the first species that used things like clothing, jewelry, art, religion, and the burial of dead.
- The Homo Sapien used more complex tools and are the first species with a society. The brains of Homo Sapiens also have more complex brains then their ancestors. This species also cooked thier food before they ate it.
