- Yes dear, Climate Action means stepped-up efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and support resilience and adaptation to climate impacts.Climate Action is related to SDG 13.
- Mom, today in school I overheard people talking about climate action. Do you know what it is?
- Discussion between mother and daughter (Ria) about climate action.
- Ria, do you know that global temperature has been rising increasing the number of storms?
- More frequent and intense drought, storms, heat waves, rising sea levels, melting ice and warming oceans can directly harm animals and destroy the places where animals human beings lives.
- Burning coal, oil gas produces CO2,cutting down forests,increasing livestock farming,these are all causes of climate change.
- But mom, what is the real scale of this problem?
- Oh my god!Are there any solutions to help or decrease the causes of Climate Action?
- From today onwards I will try to follow all the ways I will tell my friends too, to save our mother Earth.
- Apart from these other solutions are: -reduce energy use-use water efficiently-walk, cycle or use public transport-reduce consumption of meat, etc.
- Of course, Ria! there are many ways or solutions.The most important way is to educate and inspire people and institute to take action against the climate change.
