- exposition because this is the very beging of the story and telling u the main characters and setting the ground.

- For some minutes he stood regarding the blue-green expanse of water. He shrugged his shoulders.
- it is rising action because this is where the suspense starts to climb and he is qustioning if hes alive.
- what's happening here is when Ransford jumps off the island to escaped general zar or he would've been killed and he's convinced the he died.
- Then he leaped far out into the sea
- climax it is the climax because this is the turning point where everything is half way and thinking ransford died.
- In this part, general zar is convinced that he killed him and wondering how he's gonna replace ivon.
- maybe hes dead and One was the thought that it would be difficult to replace Ivan
- what is happening here is general zar is getting confident he killed him.
- falling action this is where the story starts to calm down making the reader wonder if there more.
- this is the resolution because this is the part where the story ends and then ransford kills him.
- in this part right as general zar is about to fall asleep and boom ranford kills him.
- "Rainsford!" . "How in God's name did you get here?"
- I found it quicker than walking through the jungle
