  • This is Todd and he has had a hard time trying new foods- especially when there's a lot of distractions to the young eye! This is how i got him to try new food and reduce any eating risks!
  • Now that Todd learned how to eat safely, we decided to introduce new foods! One secret that i learned to made eating new things less intimidating was presenting it with a familiar food already! Todd tried new veggies when i tried this technique!
  • I'm Todd and i'm 3. I love to watch TV while i eat! My mom says it can be dangerous for me because i can choke but i love Elmo!
  • The first thing mom made me do, which I wasn't too happy about was not having any distractions while i eat. That included my favorite shows on TV. Mom says I can choke easily if i eat while watching it and i can be rewarded by eating with it after. Works for me!
  • Those four tricks I learned helped change me and my sons life for the better- and much safer! The habits you learn as a toddler, especially when feeding, is directly translated into your late years so start them young! My son shovels his own peas into his mouth now, on his own, without distractions, and it is a new food for him!
  • The second thing I did to ensure Todd's safety was to always cut up his food! It reduces choking on big chunks which could easily end up fatal. With distractions cut out and food being cut up my little boy is already on his way to a safer life and eating habit!
  • New foods
  • The fourth thing i learned along my journey was never to force feed and to let your toddler pick up and feed himself sometimes. This stimulates the brain, allows them to have a little independence, and more willing to try new things!
