- Exposition
- We are introduced to the main characters, Joey and Lizabeth. We learn that they are living in poverty and there is a lot of discrimination.
- Lizabeth and some of the kids like to have fun annoying Miss Lottie by atttacking her Marrigold Garden
- Rising Action 1
- Rising Action 2
- Lizabeth learns that life isn't as it seems, she eavdrops on her dad crying and her mother trying to confort him. But this event leads her to enter a state of emotional confussion and she starts to see reality as it is, and her families condition due to the poverty.
- Climax
- Because Lizabeth was confused, angry, and sad, she decided to let out her emotions by destroying Miss Lottie's Marigolds but she had taken it too far.
- Falling Action
- Lizabeth realizes her mistaik and sees that what she did was not right as she destroyed hope and hardwork of another person.
- As Time passes and we see a grown up Lizabeth, she is a lot more mature from learning from her past mistakes and in memory of Miss Lottie she also planted Marigolds.
- Resolution
