- The adventures of Allen and the Saxophone.
- The certificate of merit is an exam that a musician can take. The exam test the musicians ability to play his/her instrument. If the musician passes the test they receive a certificate that says they passed the exam.
- Mom, I was wondering if I can take the level five Saxophone certificate of merit exam.
- Of course honey you can do it but it will be hard. I will call the soxophone teacher now to set it up.
- Later that day Allen's mom called Kyle, the music teacher, to set up lessons.
- Hi, Kyle, I was wondering if you would be able to teach my son Allen the requirements for the level 5 certificate of merit.
- At Kyle's house, talking to Allen's mom.
- Yes, of course I can. It will be great to work with him. Have him come in so we can get started right away.
- Later in the week, Allen went to go see Kyle to discuss the plan and the requirements for the certificate of merit exam .
- Hi Allen, I'm Kyle. I will be your music teacher for the next 8 months. I will be helping you learn the music pieces and the music theory for this year.
- I'm very excited to start. I am also excited to see what pieces I am going to be learning this year.
- For the next eight months Kyle and Allen would meet once a week to practice the required material for the test.
