- Okay, first are the parts. The parts of typhoon are the eye, eyewall, inner rain bands and outer rain bands.
- For the classification, we have Tropical Depression (61 km/hr), Tropical Storm (62-88 km/hr), Severe Tropical Storm (89-117 km/hr), Typhoon (118-220 km/hr) and lastly, Super Typhoon (exceeding 220 km/hr). To add information, we have the term, TROPICAL CYCLOGENESIS. It is the formation and strengthening of a tropical cyclone.
- Ma'am if you won't mind, can I ask a question?
- Those are some of the information about disasters such as typhoon. Do you have more question?
- Since, you already said the word disaster, what are the other disasters except typhoon? Can you give me an example?

- Ma'am, storm surges fascinated me. It caught my attention. Can you give us information about that?
- Sure Mr. Corpuz. We can define disaster as a sudden event and such accident or natural catastrophe. Thee disasters can cause great damage or loss of life. Some of the examples of these are earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, typhoons, landslides, storm surges and many more.
- Sure no problem. It is an abnormal rise of water generated by storm. It occurs when winds and low pressure brought about by a tropical cyclone push ocean waves to the shore. This is just a quick discussion about storm surges because we have no time.
