  • And today we are gonna we reviewing some important topics of the evolution of social science.
  • Hi human, im Ariel.
  • Here we are with 1 fellow of mine that will explain it for me.
  • The Enlightenment – the great 'Age of Reason' – is defined as the period of rigorous scientific, political and philosophical discourse that characterised European society during the 'long' 18th century: from the late 17th century to the ending of the Napoleonic Wars in 1815.
  • Industrial Revolution, in modern history, the process of change from an agrarian and handicraft economy to one dominated by industry and machine manufacturing. These technological changes introduced novel ways of working and living and fundamentally transformed society. This process began in Britain in the 18th century and from there spread to other parts of the world.
  • Next we are seeing the Industrial Revolution with another friend.
  • The French Revolution was a watershed event in world history that began in 1789 and ended in the late 1790s with the ascent of Napoleon Bonaparte. During this period, French citizens radically altered their political landscape, uprooting centuries-old institutions such as the monarchy and the feudal system.

  • The Evolutionism was the common core shared by the most influential social theories of that century. Evolutionism implied that humans progressed along one line of development, that this development was predetermined and inevitable, since it corresponded to definite laws, that some societies were more advanced, etc.
  • Rationalism, in philosophy, is the view that regards reason as the chief source and test of knowledge.
  • Positivism is the state of being certain or very confident of something.
  • Empiricism, in philosophy, is the view that all concepts originate by experience, that all concepts are about or applicable to things that can be experienced.
