  • neurons
  • I know you are all panicked but trust me, I have everything under control.
  • The body won't get enough blood circulation!
  • *BEEP BEEP!!*
  • Yes white blood cell?-
  • Neurons (aka nerve cells) are like the messengers in the body and brain. They are responsible for carrying information throughout the body by using electrical and chemical impulses via dendrites; root-like extensions that are designed to receive communications from other cells. Dendrites form projections that are stimulated by other neurons, in short, it's the receiving part of the cell. Other parts of the nerve cell include: A cell body and axon. Neurons also vary in structure and different functions.
  • --- Influenza Virus
  • Macrophage --
  • You were right to order a slow transport. It's full of pathogens here where our Cytotoxic T cells are needed.
  • Cells can communicate through long distances by using endocrine signaling hormones. Endocrine signaling works in the way a telegraph would. however, it works with a cell and that cell targets a distant cell through the bloodstream. The downside to this is that the molecules get diluted in the bloodstream and are present in low concentrations when they act on target cells, but the responses tend to last longer
  • It appears that most of our innate defense team is in the lungs and trachea, this looks to be like a respiratory infection.
  • Do you want me to initiate the adaptive immune system?
  • WE NEED THE ADAPTIVE DEFENSE!
  • Macrophages are a type of phagocyte that are present in the second line of immune defense. They act as the clean up crew and help eliminate foreign substances such as bacteria and viruses and fungi by a using process called phagocytosis which engulfs foreign materials after the antigens are destroyed. White blood cells (In this case, neutrophils) are the immune system's main defender in the body. They help fight off infections and diseases (other white blood cell types are lymphocytes; B cells and T cells). There are 3 Types of Influenza virus (that are able to infect humans) Influenza B is the most common which causes the common cold and flu. Influenza Type A is the only virus able to cause a pandemic more of a deadly and severe flu , it can mutate a lot quicker and it can spread quicker to people.
  • And the thing is...we have no idea what this virus is, and it's extremely contagious to the epithelial cells.
  • The adaptive immune system (also known as the specific immunity) is to respond by destroying invading pathogens and any toxic substances that they produce. These responses include a clonal response to a specific antigen. T cells and B cells are two major components in responding to antigens.
