  • Intro: All over the local news as a New Jersey resident, heavy rainfall, strong wind gusts, and a possible hurricane headlined stating how this hurricane can go through the American East Coast and affect the entire state of New Jersey.
  • Service Alert:Be Aware of Hurricanes Sandy's Arrival to land Next Week
  • More Background: Hurricane Sandy is now even more powerful being known as "Superstorm Sandy" with wind gusts up to 115 MPH and 7 inches of rainfall. As an 8-year-old, this weather was considered in my imagination as a "rain monster."
  • Please make yourself aware of evacuation routes as this is a now a category 3 hurricane
  • Connection: Superstorm Sandy made landfall over New Jersey on October 29, 2012. The storm surge destroyed homes, ripped apart piers on the Jersey Shore and inundated subway and highway tunnels in New York.
  • Connection Cont: Wind gusts continue at frightening speeds becoming the main cause of concern for my family as parts of our siding were being ripped off by the wind.
