Texte du Storyboard

  • There is a lot of snow on top of the mountains. I decided to add a little bit more. I’m falling to the tip of Mount Everest as snow. After a couple of hours, a sun comes out and I’m starting to melt.
  • I am melting into the Dudh Kosi River that originates in the high-altitude areas of Mount Everest. I am flowing in the river. Some of my fellow droplets fell into the ground. It soaks into the ground as infiltration and if those go deep enough, they become groundwater. Some of my fellow droplets also landed on the mountains, so they flowed down to the ocean.
  • My droplets that turned into groundwater were so close to the surface, that many beautiful plants were taking those as water that allowed them to grow. Plants take groundwater that was used by those beautiful plants transformed and evaporated from the leaves. Those droplets wouldn’t be able to get out of the leaves without the help of the sun. This is called transpiration and the liquid droplets are changed into gas or water vapor again.
  • However, some rain droplets traveled so deep and far, that stayed there for a long time. Eventually, the Groundwater will flow to the ocean. The Pacific Ocean is the closest the the Himalayas. My fellow droplets are coming with me too.
  • I love being a water droplet. I go through so many transformations through the water cycle. If you see rain falling from the sky, or drink a glass of water, and you think it’s new, you are wrong! The water has always been here as a part of the water cycle. And I’m Sigor, a water droplet, traveled the world, in many different substances, such as liquid, solid, and gas, are always here and I love it.
