- Yeah I do! I think its because they have reached the carrying capacity, and got overshoot and that caused a population crash
- wait what does that mean?
- Carrying capacity of an environment is the maximum number of individuals of particular species that the environment can normally support, and overshoot is when the population exceeds the carrying capacity
- and when the population surpasses the carrying capacity, deaths start to increase rapidly.
- When the population starts to get close to the carrying capacity, shortage of resources starts to happen
- What about the population crash?
- Population crash is when there is a drastic decline in the size of the population over a short period of time.
- A population crash happened here
- Population crash occurs when the carrying capacity for a population suddenly drops.
