- -Natural Lighting, Diegetic sound, Establishing shot-The natural lighting brings a more natural vibe to start out the movie to make the viewers feel comfortable. Diegetic sound is used in the form of the bullet being shot from the rifle. Establishing shot gives the viewer a basic introduction as to what the situation is with Jason Smiths job as well as immediately setting the darker movie theme opposed to the calmer theme at the very start.
- -Dark Lighting, Diegetic Sound, Medium Shot-The Dark lighting draws the subject to a serious matter by eliminating everything else. Diegetic sound is used with the shaking of the pill bottles and with when Jason Smith pops a pill. Medium shots makes it possible to display the 2 main subjects in this scene which are the character and the pill bottle.
- -Natural lighting, Diegetic sound, Medium Shot-The natural lighting in the form of sunlight peering through the window gives us a more bland and natural tone to add to the seriousness of the scene. Diegetic sound in the form of the bullet fired also adds to the seriousness and naturalness of the scene. Medium Shot shows all the main points of the shot.
- -Non-Diegetic Sound, Diegetic Sound, Dark Lighting, Prop, Medium Shot-Both Non-Diegetic Sound and Diegetic Sound are used to contrast each other well, there is tense music leading up to the man coming to kill the daughter combined with footsteps and the eventual gunshot. Dark lighting is used to show how late at night it is. There is also a prop displaying the time to further push how late it is. Medium Shot captures the most important aspects.
- -Dim Lighting, Diegetic Sound, Prop, High shot-The dim lighting draws the viewers attention gradually to the seriousness of the scene by slowly revealing the crime scene. Diegetic sound is displayed when Jason Smith drops to his knees and cries out. Prop is used with the blood to display the murder and the clock shows the time difference between shots. High shot makes Jason Smith appear helpless and vulnerable to the situation.
- -Dark lighting, Diegetic sound, Prop, Low Shot-Dark Lighting is used to show how angry and serious Jason Smith is in this scene as he plots. Diegetic sound is used with the rocking back and forth of the chair. Prop is used as guns are displayed on the wall. Low shot is used to contrast the previous scene now showing how powerful and determined Jason Smith feels.
- -Dark Lighting, Diegetic Sound, Long shot-Dark lighting establishes the time of day and also tells the viewer of Jason Smiths intentions. Diegetic sound is used in the form of the rain pattering on the ground and the gunshot which is semi suppressed by the rain. Long shot is used to set the scene and display Jason Smiths goal.
- -Dim Lighting, Prop, High Shot.-Dim lighting is used to slowly reveal the situation at hand while also providing a shock factor. Prop is used with the drugs, roped hostages and guns displayed to give the viewers a better insight on the criminal organization's intentions. High Shot is once again used to show how shocked and off put Jason Smith is at the sight of the situation.
- -Medium Shot, Dim lighting, Diegetic sound-Medium Shot is used to show both of the characters in this scene and to capture both of their facial expressions. Dim lighting is used in this same location to not instantly give away that Jason Smith is being snuck up on by somewhat hiding it. Diegetic sound is used with the feint footsteps of the armed criminal approaching.
