  • Wow! I was just thinking of this car, now I'm seeing it! what are the odds?
  • Freud's Psychoanalytic theories consist of defense mechanisms, which are a how people react to unpleasant situations. Displacement is a redirection of impulse onto a substitute target. Displacing the anger from the parent into the harmless door is a defense mechanism to disperse our emotion.
  • How Rodgers Sees me 
  • My goals for after this gym session are as follows: I have to go to work, then take car of my personal errands, and finally, go out with friends.
  • Alfred Adler's birth order theories focused on the fight against feelings of inferiority at the core of our personality. The firstborn is usually the "perfect child" who abides by the rules, while the last born is usually funny, outgoing, etc. These are ways both children feel superior depending on the order they were born in.
  • How Costa and McCrae See Me
  • Carl Jung's theory of synchronicity explained that things are connected with meaning that is beyond chance. The character was just thinking of the car, and now he sees it.
  • How Bandura Sees Me
  • I need to to test corrections to, but I'll finish my lab with my group first!
  • CarL Rodgers' theory of personality describes humans wanting to develop themselves to their full potential. In other words, we want to be our "ideal self". Setting goals can help with this, as it helps us envision ourselves being our ideal selves.
  • Costa and McCrae's Big Five Model are a list of traits that theoretically define personality. Openness, a trait that makes a person curious and innovative, is displayed in this graphic. The Big Five traits are openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeable, and neuroticism.

  • Bandura's social cognitive theories reflect numerous things, one of which is individualism - the act of grieving priority to one's own goals over a group's goals. In contrast, the act of giving priority to a group's goals is collectivism.
