- A long time ago, there lived 4 gods. Hydros, Atmos, Geos, and Bios. Everyone lived in relative harmony, but tensions were brewing, since Hydros possessed a power that none of the other gods had, and the other gods deeply craved this power.
- How heavenly! I simply must make more!
- One day, Atmos stole this power from Hydros and created clouds to add beauty to her vast, but empty realm.
- But Geos' jealousy had driven him, to steal this power for himself. The clouds that Atmos had made soon disappeared, and trickled into small droplets of rain that fell upon Geos' realm. He then froze this, and covered a great expanse of his realm in white, cold, snow to protect it.
- Hehe! Not so bad, eh? This things pretty great!
- Though it would not be long till the power that Geos had just stolen, would fall into the hands of Bios. She used the power to melt the snow on Geos' realm, which then flowed down across the lands and created streams and rivers that breathed life into Bios' realm. She had allowed both flora and fauna to exist in the world
- What have I done? This is magnificent!
- When Hydros had caught wind of the thievery and mischief happening between the other gods, he was not infuriated, to the surprise of the others. Instead Hydros was pleased, as everything that had happened was what he intended all along.
- Everything went smoothly, I suppose!
- The power that Hydros possessed was the force of life itself, which came in the form of water. Water that became clouds, clouds that turned to rain, rain that would freeze as snow, snow that would melt and flow as rivers. Rivers that would provide sustenance for both creatures and forests. A cycle of water, a cycle only made possible by the Earth's subsystems.
