- The reason I chose this background is because it reflects the plot and the scenery I would expect from a battle out in Verona back then. Romeo and Benvolio are wearing similar clothing because they are both Montagues and Tybalt and his companions are wearing something different because they are Capulets. Mercutio is wearing something different because he's related to the prince. Romeo and Benvolio's facial expressions are both scared and shocked because Mercutio's about to fight Tybalt and he could get seriously hurt which he did. Tybalt's companions want to see them fight and their cheering Tybalt on because this is like what men did back then. Mercutio's facial expression is determined to fight Tybalt because Romeo backed away from the fight. In the next picture Mercutio has been killed and Romeo and Benvolio are mad at Tybalt and want to get revenge because he just killed their best friend. Tybalt and his companions flee because he just killed Mercutio and he is a relative of the prince and this could lead to bad things.
