- Hi! My name is Chef Julia, today we will be looking at how to use sweetened condensed milk.
- Dairy is something most of us use everyday, dairy can be things like milk and cheese. Dairy can be cooked or kept in the original state.
- Some people can't have dairy due to a sugar in milk called lactose.
- Sweetened condensed milk comes from cow milk and it is very sweet, lots of sugar is added into the milk to make it sweet.
- There are so many things we can make with sweetened condensed milk!
- We can make many pies like lime pie and lemon icebox pie. We can make cheese cakes and many chocolate desserts. You can even make peppermint patties! So many smores options!
- When buying sweetened condensed milk, look for the brand type as the product can change between brands.
- Unlike a lot of dairy products, sweetened condensed milk can be stored at room temperature for up to a year.
- Sweetened condensed milk can be used in so many different ways! I hope I have encouraged you all to create a dish with it!
