- A technical code used in this scene is an establishing shot showing the main characters modern family home. The home is well looked after with the garden being looked after very well - with plants and grass looking healthy giving us the idea that the house is well looked after and loved for.
- A cultural code used in this scene is the use of Leah's costume which shows her wearing her school uniform suggesting she is all ready for school - technical code of a full shot to show her full body which shows us her costume clearly.
- A cultural code used in this scene is the setting which is shown in a classroom suggesting they are in school - this gives us the idea that they are in school as there is desks, and it has a school environment with classmates, a teacher and a big chalkboard to suggest that it is used to help teach.
- one technical code used in this scene is a close up of Leah which shows her super excited to go on her biology trip. This gives us the idea that she enjoys biology as a subject and so excited for this trip.
- One technical code used in this scene is an establishing shot of the forest showing the bright colours which shows the beauty of the forest making us realise that the forest is a safe plaice for the characters so far...
- One cultural code used is actors performance in which shows the girls in the class behind their teacher and trying to catch up with their teacher suggesting they are very much interested in nature
