- When Olivia caught a cold from one of her classmates and had to spend the day at home, she wanted to learn more about how her body fights off colds and dieases.

- She learned that The Pathogen had entered her body when she first got the cold.

- Next the first line of defense (non-specific), which in her case was more blood flow to bring more white blood cells to the area the cold was detected.
- This caused inflammation in her nose and throat.
- For seven days, she had a cough and runny nose.
