  • oh really that doesn't sound good.
  • hey John, come see this! the water looks much higher then last year
  • oh wow, you're right! it looks much higher. how can that be?
  • well, its due to climate change. as the climate in certain areas get warmer ice berges melt and it causes a thermal expansion of water
  • how does that even happen?
  • its all starts with the green house effect, which is a process where atmospheric gasses trap heat. but the problem is when we add chemicals through consumption, burning fossil fuels, agriculture, producing aluminum and magnesium, burning forests, and also releasing fluorocarbons. all of those things release harmful chemicals like, carbon dioxide methane, nitrous oxide, sulfur hexafluoride and fluorocarbons. Even water vapour is a big contributor in decreasing the albedo.
  • it doesn't help that we are also destroying our biggest carbon sinks by cutting down forests and making our oceans more acidic causing our coral reefs to die so they cant absorb the extra carbon in the atmosphere
  • well, you can always try and help to reduce your consumption, which will minimize the chemicals that are being released. you could try and use water and electricity more wisely. try to reduce your waste, educate others and you can try to drive less and walk more like were doing right now
  • but what can be done to help this?
  • wow i will definitely try, thank you so much for educating me!
  • of course! if you need more tips let me know!
