- EXPOSITION
- See that Island over there. It's called the "Ship-Trap Island" and it has a lot of different mysteries.
- INCITING INCIDENT
- RISING ACTION
- Rainsford and Whitney are on the ship. Whitney points out the "ShipTrap Island" in the distance and starts telling the mysteries behind it.
- CLIMAX
- Rainsford goes to smoke his pipe. Suddenly, he hears gunshots in the distance and moves towards the railing to check it out. Holding himself onto the rail to try and get a better look, Rainsford drops his pipe, loses his balance in an attempt to catch it, and accidentally falls into the water. He cries for help, but the ship quickly disappears into the night. Rainsford started swimming to the Ship-Trap Island and as soon as he made it to the land he fell asleep.
- FALLING ACTION
- When he wakes up he then starts wandering around and finds a set of footprints. He follows the hunter's footprints and it leads him to a building. He walks up to the door and knocks. Ivan, a man with a gun, answers and refuses to help Rainsford until, General Zaroff, appears from inside the house and invites Rainsford inside. Zaroff greets Rainsford warmly and has invites him for dinner.
- RESOLUTION
- Zaroff started to explain that he hunts humans and that Rainsford is the next one. Zaroff promises to set Rainsford free if he lives through the next three days. Rainsford sets off into the jungle after receiving food, clothes, and a knife. On the first day, Zaroff found Rainsford easily but lets him escape. On the second day, Rainsford made some traps that only wounded Zaroff.
- On the third day, Rainsford places more traps that kill Ivan and one of Zaroffs hunting dogs. Zaroffs spots Rainsford and started following all the way to an edge of a cliff.Rainsford jumps into the rocky sea below. Stunned and disappointed, Zaroff returns to his house assuming Rainsford is dead.
- As he returns to his bedroom, he is shocked to find Rainsford there. Rainsford wins the game and sleeps In his bed.
