  • A sea lion usually becomes self-sufficient when they are over 14 months old. At this stage of its life, it has learned how to swim, hunt and all necessary survival abilities. A sea lion has completed its major physical developments at this age.
  • I have decided to find a mate and start my own family! Since I am 5 years old now, I reached the average age of when sea lions mate and breed.
  • She's the one! I better set up our territory now, since we are going to start a family now, and hopefully she falls in love with me when she sees how much territory I have.
  • Female sea lions would pose in submissive positions to sexually attract male sea lions
  • Welcome to Baja California
  • Perfect location! Nice and rocky and it is a safe place for my wife to rest wat for 10-30 days after breeding.
  • Crabs and sea lions have a mutual agreement. Sea lions allow crabs to climb on top of their backs so they can get rid of the ticks on their backs, while the crabs gain a free meal.
  • I better go hunting now. I will be gathering other fellow sea lions to go hunting with. Us sea lions tend hurdle up and hunt together by communicating with barks. In fact, us sea lions finish what we have our our minds, meaning that we do not give on until we are satisfied with our goal. Therefore, we are able to hunt for 30 hours straight sometimes, when we truly desire to.
  • Quick fact: Sea lions are legendary figures to some indigenous tribes, as they believe that sea lions heavily contributed in the creation of Earth. Sea lions symbolize wealth and good luck to some indigenous clans.
  • Bark, bark, bark, jamal come back home
  • Anyways, I am 20 years old now. Hopefully I can live to see 30. It's been real guys!
  • 15 years later
  • I decided to go back to my home beach and visit my mother! Us sea lions can find our mother by listening to her barks, as far as away from the other side of the beach through all rocks and other background noises.
