- vaccines are like a training exercise for your body! they use dead or damaged viruses to provide an immune response without getting sick
- antibodys is a blood protein produced. Antibodies combine with substances which the body recognizes as alien, such as bacteria, viruses, and foreign substances in the blood.
- how your body reacts to a virus without a vaccine is it takes longer for your immune system to get rid of the bad virus but if you have a vaccine you can still get sick but it wont hit you as hard
- mRNA = a type of rna that is necessary for protein production
- the Mrna is a small peice of protien found on the virus's outer membrane. people who get an mRNA vaccine are not exposed to the virus, mRNA uses the information in genes to create a blueprint for making proteins. Once cells finish making a protein, they quickly break down the mRNA.

- a non vaccinated persons body doesn't fight of the bad viruses causing there immune system to fight of the virus slower
- a vaccinated persons body will fight of the bad viruses quicker warning the cells a bad virus is arriving
- translation= process by which a cell makes proteins using the genetic information carried in mRNA. The mRNA is made by copying DNA
