  • I've made the decision to summon the estates general.
  • June 20, 1789
  • We all have to take an oath to not separate until our country has a written constitution!
  • July 14, 1789
  • Whats happening sir?
  • Were being attacked by an angry mob!
  • The political and financial situation in France has gotten very rough which forced Louis XVI to summon the Estates General. The start of the French Revolution.
  • August 26, 1789
  • France now has a written document of men and citizen rights!
  • The deputies of the third estate finding themselves locked out of their usual meeting hall in Versailles, they moved to a nearby tennis court. There they took an oath to never separate until a written constitution has been established for France.
  • October 5, 1789
  • The price of bread is unfair!!
  • A prison on the east side of Paris, known as the Bastille, was attacked by an angry and aggressive mob.
  • June 20, 1791
  • You guys thought you could escape huh?
  • The French National Constituent Assembly issued the declaration of the rights of man and the citizen, which defined individual and collective rights at the time of the revolution.
  • MOOOOOM
  • Concerned over the high price and scarcity of bread, women from the marketplaces of Paris led the march of Versailles.
  • King Louis XVI and his immediate family unsuccessfully attempted to escape Paris in order to initiate a counter revolution.
