- Once we start taking their ships they'll realize they can't afford losing supplies and fight a war so they will agree to negotiate with us
- That wasn't very nice, but war is not the best option so we are going to capture their ships
- Good plan! It's bound to work!!
- The french were mad that the US wasn't helping them in the war between France and Great Britain. So France captured a bunch of ships with goods Great Britain sent to the US.
- President Adams sent three dudes to negotiate with guys who will stop stealing the US's ships, but these three spies tell them they have to pay them a lot of money to even meet with the guy they want to negotiate with. Obviously no one would ever do that so they go back home and tell president Adams what happened.
- President Adams decides that war is not the best option, even tho everyone else wants to go to war because the spies hurt their ego. Adams takes the French's ships until they realize they can't afford to lose supplies and fight in a war so France stops taking the US's ships. With the help from his emotional support cat he was able to make this tough decision.
