- The selling of the indulgences allowed rich people to buy good deeds which allowed them to repent their sins.

- You people are even more corrupt than the Church for staying Catholics AND knowing what the pope is doing!
- WE are corrupt?! you people are the ones that are disloyal to the Church!
- This shows that Rich people can easily buy their way to heaven, despite the countless sins they commit. This is what corrupted the Church.
- Effect: Power shift
- Because of the reformation, I now have more power than the pope. I wonder what I could do...
- Because Martin Luther disagreed with the ways of the Church, he left which begins the reform protestants and was the start of the division of religion in Europe and Lutheranism.
- Effect: Wars
- Because of the Reform protestant, Europe became religiously divided into protestants and Catholics. This divide caused a lot of conflict in Europe.
- The reform caused the authority and the power of the pope to weaken. This, however, helped the king rise to power and form nations. This allowed him to do things like sending missionaries to convert non-Christians across the world.
- A major effect of the reform protestants is that numerous wars broke out between Catholics and protestants. This further solidified the division of religious belief in Europe.
