- At the start of 1665, a minor amount of people started to have some problems such as: unbelievable fever, violent shivering, and sneezing.
- These symptoms started to grow majorly across the country until they realized it was a disease. Many people thought it was caused from bad air, dogs and cats or that it was sent by God as a punishment. In addition, they made up many cures such as: charms made of toad poison, getting an Elizabethan coin and keeping it in their mouth when they meet someone.
- 100,000 people were killed by this plague, this disease had a huge impact on society, homeless people had to live in dirty places with caused them to take in the disease or maybe even spread it to such people like their relatives. Many people also couldn’t afford such treatments to maybe cure the disease!
- On September 2 1666 at a bakers shop in London there was a small fire started, 3 hours later, there was a blazing inferno which started to spread from house to house.
- When the fire started to get bigger and bigger, the streets were filled with frightened people and were majorly panicking about them losing their houses.
- after the fire spread across London, 80% of the city were homeless, however, an architect called Christopher Wren came up with a plan to rebuild the city with long streets and wide open places, on the other hand, people weren’t happy with this as they wanted their new houses The place their old house was.
