- On february 1598 an explosion of unknown orgin sank the battle ship U.S.S Maine in the Havana . It killed 266 of the 354 crew member that where on. People say it was cause drom a fire from a mine. This cause united states to declare passions afains spain and eventrually leading to a Naval blockade of cuba and a declaration of war , the spanish was blame for the outrage . The maine was sent to protect U.S interest during the cuban war of independence. They wrote an artice 2 days After the explosion happen on the boat in the back
- Archduke was assanitaed on july 28 1914 because of his perceived threat to serbia independence .The assanation of archduke Franz Ferdinand outraged Austria-Hungary , Austria- Hungary was really furios and with germany support they declare war on serbia on july 28 .Within days later russia declare war on russia , which also causes britain to declare war on germany and kept it going and also made the war bigger but even though they should of just kept the war to the autria-hungary and germany but this also led to the beggining of ww1!
- The lusitania was sunk in May 7 1915 . The sinking of the lusitania was so important because there were so many deaths of innocent people ( civillians ) but the RMS carpathia saved so many people but sadly they couldt save alot, what really cause this was a german submarine ( U- boat ) that hit the lusitania and then the lusitania sunk after that you may be asking what happen to the submarine well the person who was driving it crash with a mine !
