  • Tom, Nick, Daisy, Jordan, and Gatsby decide to go to town.
  • YES!! To the town.
  • Can we go to the town!!
  • tom gets gas in his coupe
  • We should probably get gas now instead of later.
  • fighting in suite
  • Did you even go to Oxford?!
  • YES! I went for five months through an army program.
  • Tom, Nick, Daisy, Jordan, and Gatsby are all gathered at Tom’s house on a hot summer’s day. Daisy poses an idea of going to town to everyone and Tom is opposed to the idea. However, they all end up going to town together. Tom insists that Daisy should come in his car with him, but Gatsby insists that she goes with him in his car. In turn, Nick and Jordan ride in Tom’s blue coupe and they are all off to town. 
  • Myrtle is hit by Daisy.
  • On the way to the city, Jordan notices that Gatsby’s car is running low on fuel. As a thought, Jordan suggests stopping at a station in the Valley of Ashes so they don’t have to worry about it later. Tom, after repeatedly trying to stray away from getting gas, finally complies with Jordan and they stop at George Wilson’s garage. While at his garage, Myrtle Wilson peers out of the window from above and gets a glance at Jordan in disgust, assuming that she is Tom’s wife.
  • Tom Nick and Jordan find Myrtle.
  • *GASPS*
  • In NYC, they escaped to a plaza suite. While in the suite, Tom goes through with his plan of confronting Gatsby, Tom accuses Gatsby of lying about attending Oxford. Gatsby says that he only attended from 5 months through an army program following the Great War. Tom then dives into Gatsby’s “bootlegging” operation, questioning Gatsby of what his intentions were with Daisy. Gatsby goes into a fit of rage, with a look on his face that Nick described as “if he had killed a man.” Following this altercation, Daisy starts to draw further away from Gatsby
  • Gatsby tells Nick that Daisy killed Myrtle.
  • Myrtle runs out into the street after catching sight of the yellow convertible, thinking it was Tom Buchannan. She is struck and instantly killed by Daisy instead, who was driving Gatsby's car to try to calm her nerves. Daisy and Gatsby drive off instead of stopping to help.
  • Tom noticed a backup of cars thinking there would be a wreck, thinking it would be helpful for Wilson. Then all three of them caught a glimpse of Myrtle's lifeless body wrapped in a blanket. They all heard it was a fast yellow car that hit her, Tom comes to the sudden realization that he must tell Wilson that wasn’t his car and he hasn't seen it all afternoon.
  • Nick was sitting outside the Buchanans house when Gatsby came out of the woods to him and asked about the incident, and if she was killed. Nick guesses that Daisy was driving, and Gatsby said that he would take the fall for it. He also told Nick that he was gonna wait until Daisy went to bed, before he would go home to make sure she was safe.
  • Yes.. but I'll take the blame.
  • Was it Daisy driving..?
