- The airplane is soaring 200ft above Jerry. Jerry is 40ft away from Steves landing spot. Once Steve lands he wants to know what the angle of elevation is from the landing spot to the airplane.

- Jerry was a mathematician in his past life, so he explains to Steve that using tangent can allow us to find the angle of elevation!
- His Explanation:tanθ= 200/400tanθ= 5θ= tan^-1(5)θ=78.69

- Steve and Jerry come across an islander. They offer him a game of soccer as a peace offering. He says yes!!
- What is the area of our soccer game?
- Once again Jerrys math past life allows him to explain Herons formula. This is done by taking the product of the square root of s. Then you find the difference between s and each of the sides. So we take the square root of 28(28-18)(28-14)(28-24)=15680then with square root taken it is approximately 125ft!

- Steve is cautious of the islander so he stands 18ft away. Jerry is a little more adventurous and he stands 14ft away. Steve and Jerry are 24ft apart from each other
