- Bruno then gives shmuel a piece of the chicken and they started chatting. They were giggling loudly...

- Just then, liuetenant Kotler came and started questioning what they were doing. Shmuel looked terrified.lieutenant kotler asked Bruno if he gave the chicken and Bruno denied. Shmuel was in shock that he was betrayed.

- Shmuel started crying because his only friend had betrayed him and now he was going to get punished. The look of regret was in Bruno's eyes. Lieutenant Kotler brings shmuel back to the concentration camp
- Shmuel got hit by Lieutenant Kotler and he got a bruised face.Should he deserve this?
- Bruno went to find shmuel and sees bruises all over him becauseliuetenant kotler had beaten shmuel up. Bruno apologises and they became friends again
