- Hi Alyssa!
- Not great. I am so tired. I had to rush here from the gym, and in order to get the times to work, I had to skip breakfast.
- Hi Leslie. How are you? Lets sit here.
- Can we have lunch first?
- You sure are lucky you have me to teach you about nutrition.
- Also, before you ask, no I do not have any pop, or energy drink. They are full of sugars & other unhealthy additives. have some water instead.
- Wow. I never knew that breakfast did so much for your body. What else do you know?
- Now that we have eaten lunch, I am going to teach you a little bit about nutrition, starting with breakfast.
- Breakfast isn't called the most important meal of the day for nothing. Breakfast is the first meal of the day that gives your body the nutrition to start the day and do what ever needs to be done that day.
- Without breakfast, you become very tired because your body doesn't have the nutrients it needs to carry out its normal functions.
- Well, if you don't eat enough calories before you exercise, you might end up feeling, and lethargic because of low blood sugar.
- You said you went to the gym as well right?
- What does that have to do with nutrition?
- Low blood sugar impacts us because our cells absorb the glucose in the food, which is used to provide energy to our bodies. Without glucose, our bodies have no energy.
- How does having low blood sugar make my feel tired?
- Yeah. Nutrition is super important, and without it we would be very hungry, be we would also have an unhealthy population because people wouldn't know what is good or bad for them
- Wow, Alyssa. I had no idea how much nutrition impact odour bodies. I though we just had to eat because we don't want to get hungry.
