The product rule states if two factors raised to an exponent are being multiplied together and they have the same base number we can add the exponents.
Base tells what number is being multiplied. And the exponent is how much the base number is being multiplied.
And then the quotient rule is as long as the base is the same we can divide the two powers by subtracting the exponents
Zero exponent rule: A^0=1, not equal to 0
The power rule is: if the base raised to a power is being raised to another power then the two powers are multiplied and the base remains the same
And then the negative exponent rule is: A number with a negative exponent should be put to the denominator and vice versa
