- God then releases ten plaques to convince Pharaoh to let the Hebrews go. These plaques were a set of disasters that represented God's power.
- The Israelites multiplied and became so very numerous that the land was filled with them.
- The Egyptians became angry at the Israelites and planned to decrease their population with cruel slavery.
- Moses parts the Red Sea, the Israelites are saved, and the Egyptian army is killed.
- “See! The Israelite people have multiplied and become more numerous than we are! Come, let us deal shrewdly with them to stop their increase!"
- “If I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your ancestors has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what do I tell them?”
- Moses and the Israelites arrive at Mount Sinai. There God gives Moses the Ten Commandments for him to share.
- God appears to Moses as a burning bush and tells him to bring the Israelites to Canaan. He does this because they are currently being enslaved and killed.
