- hello class! today we will be talking about particle theory!
- particle theory-there are three states of mattersolidliquidgasthe difference between all these is the distance between the molecules. the molecule that make up a solid are arranged in a consistant pattern that are held firmly together. the molecules that make up a liquid flow around easily one another. they are kept from flying apart by the attractive forces between them. the moelcules that make up gasses fly in all dirrections at graeat speeds. the molecules in gasses are so far apart that the attractive forces between them are insignificant.
- heterogenous and homogenous mixtureshomogenous mixtures are multiple mixtures in a substance that appear to be oneheterogenous are mixtures where you can identify the differences between different molecules.
