- The French and Indian war, also known as the 7 year war, was a dispute between the British and the French for the Ohio River valley. Most of the Native American tribes sided with the French, but there were a few who sided with the British, who were the ones who won the war.
- Hey, since the colonies fought the war for us, how about we tax them?
- The 7 year war left us in debt...
- After the French and Indian War, the British were in heavy debt, and decided to tax the colonists to pay off that debt. All imported goods, like tea, glass, lead, and paint. Earlier versions, like the stamp act, which taxed all paper items, were heavily protested.
- Good Idea! We should tax everything imported to the colonies, like tea, glass, lead, and paint!

- The Boston Massacre started as a mob of Patriots harassed a bunch of Redcoats (British Soldiers) by throwing snowballs with rocks inside, stics, stones, yelling at them, etc. Ultimately, the British Soldiers started shooting into the crowd, and 5 colonists were killed. This was ultimately used as propaganda against the British.
