- God promised , that our family would become a great nation, and that all families on the earth would be blessed through me!
- Abraham trusted God and set off with his family to Canaan, The Promised Land. After this ,astonishingly, he and his wife Sara birthed a son called Isaac, after many kids and marriages later there was Joseph .
- Glisser: 2
- I am one of Abraham's great grandson; Joseph! I lived comfortably in Egypt, under a series of kind pharaohs. Us Israelites continued to lived prosperously in Egypt, but the story does not end here...
- Joseph one of Abraham's descendants was so talented that he gained great authority in Egypt. He had been sold into slavery by his brothers, but ended up forgiving them.

- WE WANT OUR FREEDOM!!!
- Peace and Prosperity ended in Egypt for the Israelites when they were enslaved by the cruel pharaohs who burdened them with strenuous jobs. Slavery devastated the Israelites, and they yearned for freedom; hundreds of years later their dreams finally came true with a man named Moses.

- God: You, Moses are to lead the Israelites from Slavery To Freedom!
- When Moses grew up, his personal encounters with God led him to realize he had a quest to save his people. God, as a sign of intimacy with the people, revealed his Holy name to Moses. Moses eventually did lead the Israelites but not without some struggle..

- WE ARE FREE!!!
- Everyone remembers the story when God saved the Israelites parting the waters of the sea and leading them back across dry land, then closing the waters on the approaching the Egyptian charioteers. The Egyptians drowned and the Israelites were FREE! The Jews still celebrate these events today, which they call the Passover Feast.

- The Israelites knew that God was with them when escaping Egypt. Nevertheless, after wandering in the desert they doubted God and Moses. God still provided and cared for them. God and Moses met on the mountaintop and sealed the faith of the people with the historic Sinai Covenant, the Israelites agreed to abide by God’s guidance, the cornerstone of the sacrament, which then became the law of the Ten Commandments.
