- Inspector Goole knocks onto the Birlings house and the maid lets him in.
- Inspector Goole introduces himself then starts to ask questions about Evasmith
- There's a flashback to when Mr Birling had handed Eva#160;a notice to her being fired because she asked for a better pay#160;
- Mr Birling denies that he has anything to do with Eva smiths death
- Inspector Goole turns to Sheila and starts telling her how she's also to blame for Eva's death Shelia remembers how she got her fired because of her jealousy
