- Southwest Dekalb’s football team was getting beat mercilessly by region teams. They had recently suffered a loss of 67-3. They were last in the region and wanted a change...
- They were tired of losing so had several meetings to figure out how to change the outcome of their season. They couldn't get around the talent block of the team, so they had to take grand measures...
- Let's go check something out.
- They tried to bring in a specialist for every position. They even tried to players from other schools. At the end of all of this, they didn't have any legal results, so they decided to get illegal…
- NO MORE FOOTBALL!!!
- The coaching staff decided to pay the refs. The refs made false bad calls on the opponents sides.. They deflated and inflated balls on both sides to make the game in favor of Southwest. They were blowing schools out 56-0 and 74-3...
- This stays between us
- People were suspicious and started to investigate. I think it's weird how they are just up and dominating teams.. especially Cedar Grove. Supports found out all over the region and Southwest coaching and staff HAD to face consequences.
- The GSHA got word of this and set sction immediately. Southwest coaching and staff were terminated immediately. Football as a whole was removed from extracurricular activities and every other activity was under strict supervision.
