  • Initially walking into ESP 103, I was excited at the idea of getting to be creative and be apart of an engaging class. Project by project, I was finding that I needed to step out of my comfort zone more and was getting frustrated with myself for "not being creative enough."

  • For my first mini project, I created a Prezi of a work desk which was interactive with information about who I interviewed and what I learned about creativity research. With this, I felt that I wasn't stepping out of the box fully to show my true creativity and felt stuck in trying to just present the information correctlyhttps://prezi.com/view/hRKGL85WY5RMruQMBUhz/
  • Case For Creativity

  • For the second mini project, I used a vintage inspired newspaper template to display my interview with my old film photography teacher. I was very excited about it and felt that it was very creative in relation to the topic and the information I was presenting. I wanted my submission to emphasize the vintage feel that film has to it and the impact it has on art itself.

  • For my third mini project, I created a "Divergent Thinking Diner Menu" where I listed all the Goose Chase challenges in a menu item structure. I listed the points earned from each in a dollar price format and descriptions of what I did for each challenge listed like menu ingredients. Originally when coming up with ideas to present the information, I looked at the Goose Chase like it was a menu of options and wanted to create a real menu for Divergent Thinking.

  • For my final mini project, I created an America's Funniest Home Videos style video/ presentation for the failures I endured. I was very proud of this one and thought that I presented my failures in a funny and intentional style that was engaging to the audience. I first was trying to figure out ways to play my video with the AFV logo in the bottom corner of the screen, as if it were the audience was watching it on an actual TV.
  • Failure/ Resiliency Mindset
  • As I am coming up on week six of this course, I have learned so much about myself and where I can stem inspiration from to lead me to be more creative. I also learned a lot about the beauty of failing. In failing in a few mini projects, by not getting the grade I initially wanted, I learned to take those critiques as learning opportunities and opportunities to try again and change the way I was originally interpreting projects. As the weeks went on, my grades on the mini projects were getting better and better and I think these creative spurts will be highly beneficial to the business world and to facing real business problems to find new wasy to overcome them and find a solution.
